Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya and senior officials from the Movement received on Sunday Islamic Jihad chief Ziyad Nakhala and the delegation accompanying him in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
The two sides discussed different Palestinian issues including the Israeli aggressive practices in Jerusalem and the West Bank and the suffering of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
They also talked about the strategic relations between Hamas and Islamic Jihad and the political developments in the region and highlighted the importance of Egypt’s role in supporting the Palestinian people and their national cause.
