An Israeli court in Occupied Jerusalem sentenced on Thursday two Palestinian citizens to prison and ordered the release of another one on condition of staying under house arrest for some days.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that an Israeli court sentenced 43-year-old Khaled Shuweiki a resident of Silwan district in Jerusalem to one year in jail.
Shuweiki was arrested on May 10 2021 during events at the Aqsa Mosque and was released soon later. He is the principal of a school in Jerusalem.
The same court also sentenced a teenager called Ali Abu Owais from the east Jerusalem district of Issawiya to eight months in jail.
Another Jerusalemite young man identified as Khaled Zeitoun was released on condition of not leaving his home for four days and paying a fine of 500 shekels. He had been in detention since the Israeli occupation police summoned him for questioning last Monday.
