The Jerusalemite activist Khadija Khweis on Thursday warned of grave dangers targeting the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem especially the Bab al-Rahma prayer area and the eastern area of the Mosque.
“The Bab al-Rahma prayer area had been closed by the Israeli police for 16 years before the Palestinian people managed to open it in 2019” Khweis underlined stressing that Israel is persistently trying to seize control of the area in favor of Jewish settlers.
Khweis warned that the Jewish temple mount groups are trying to turn the prayer area into a Jewish synagogue calling on the Palestinian people to intensify their presence at the area to protect it against Israeli desecration.
Meanwhile calls have been renewed on Palestinian masses to mobilize at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to confront the new Israeli scheme to divide the holy Islamic site.
Member of Knesset Amit Halevi had proposed a plan to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque by seizing control of the northern area of the Mosque in addition to the Dome of the Rock in favor of Jewish settlers.
