Five Palestinian young men were killed and at least 66 others were injured some of them critically on Monday morning after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Jenin City and its refugee camp and clashed with local youths and resistance fighters.
Four of the martyrs including a child were pronounced dead at hospitals. The death toll is likely to increase as many of those injured are still in critical condition.
According to local sources Israeli special forces stormed at first al-Jaberiyat neighborhood and its vicinity near the outskirts of Jenin camp and soon later they called for reinforcements after they were spotted by resistance fighters.
Meanwhile the IOF raided some homes and apartments and deployed snipers on their rooftops amid fierce armed clashes with resistance fighters.
Video footage circulated on the internet showed a military helicopter firing one missile at a residential area in Jenin.
Seven Israeli soldiers were reportedly injured some of them in serious condition when resistance fighters detonated an explosive device at their vehicle.
Multiple IOF vehicles sustained damage during the events according to the Hebrew media.
Local sources said that an IOF bulldozer destroyed a main water pipe in al-Jaberiyat neighborhood and caused power outages in Jenin camp.
They also said that Israeli soldiers broke into the house of Musaab al-Barmaki in the neighborhood used his family as a human shield during the clashes and then kidnaped him.
Another young man was also kidnaped by the IOF during the same events in Jenin.
