Four Palestinian administrative detainees on Monday continued their open-ended hunger strike for the ninth day in a row in the Israeli Ofer prison.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said that Anas Shadid 26 Mahmoud Talahmah 32 Abdullah Abeido 36 and Ahmad Dandis 25 have been on hunger strike in protest at their ongoing administrative detention.
“Shadid and Talahmah are serving a 6-month administrative detention sentence” the PPS underlined adding that the Israeli court rejected a petition submitted against the administrative detention orders of Shadid and Talahmah.
The PPS said that Shadid spent three years in Israeli jails and went on hunger strike twice adding that Talahmah is an ex-prisoner who spent two years and a half in the Israeli prisons.
“Dandis is serving a 6-month administrative detention while Abeido is serving a 4-month administrative detention” the PPS affirmed adding that Abeido is an ex-prisoner who spent five years in Israeli prisons.
The number of Palestinian administrative detainees has reached 1083 detainees including 17 children and three women.
