Member of Hamas’s political bureau Salah al-Bardawil has condemned the US House of Representatives for designating the Israeli occupation state as non-racist or non-apartheid state considering its resolution &ldquoan official acquittal of the Israeli government’s extremism and an encouragement for it to persist in its crimes.&rdquo
In televised remarks on Wednesday Bardawil said that such a US step represented a &ldquoblatant bias in favor of the Israeli occupation&rdquo and &ldquocomplicity in its terrorism.&rdquo
The Hamas official also accused the US Congress of flagrantly acquitting the extremist Israeli government of any crime although its extremism and terrorism are reflected by its actions on the ground and the remarks of its ministers who call for burning and killing the Palestinians.
He affirmed that the Palestinian resistance option is the only means to stop the Israeli government from persisting in its crimes against the Palestinian people.
The US House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a resolution calling Israel &ldquonot a racist or apartheid state&rdquo on Tuesday
The legislation comes in response to remarks last Saturday from Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus in which she called Israel a &ldquoracist state.&rdquo
