Commission of Detainees&rsquo and Ex-Detainees&rsquo Affairs has held the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) responsible for the repercussions of the violations against the female prisoners Fatimah Shahin and Itaf Jaradat.
In a press statement on Monday evening the Commission stressed that the Israeli decision to place prisoners Shahin and Jaradat with criminal prisoners will not go unnoticed.
The Commission expressed deep concern about the Israeli decision to place the two Palestinian prisoners with criminal prisoners calling on the Palestinian people to support the prisoners by all means possible.
It underlined that both Shahin and Jaradat in addition to prisoners Iyad Radwan and Samer Abu al-Dyak started their open-ended hunger strike in protest at the Israeli decision.
Earlier on Sunday evening Palestinian prisoners in Ramleh prison decided to return their meals and refuse to receive lawyers or doctors as part of their escalating protest steps.
