Sheikh Najeh Bakirat deputy head of the Islamic Awqaf Administration in Occupied Jerusalem urged the Palestinian masses to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque nowadays to foil intended attempts by extremist Jewish settlers to offer animal sacrifice and perform Talmudic rituals at the Islamic holy site.
In press remarks on Tuesday Sheikh Bakirat warned of great dangers threatening the Aqsa Mosque due to its exposure to growing Israeli violations.
He called for necessarily taking urgent steps to confront the Israeli practices at the Aqsa Mosque and protect it against Judaization.
&ldquoSince the right-wing government came to power we have been warning against the occurrence of serious developments at the Aqsa Mosque and attempts to change its status quo&rdquo Sheikh Bakirat said
For its part the Aqsa Trustees Authority warned of accelerating Israeli steps to build the alleged temple on the ruins of the Aqsa Mosque.
It said there are serious Israeli efforts to change the status quo at the Aqsa Mosque in favor of settler groups and divide it temporally and spatially between Muslims and Jews.
Compared to other months about 6558 settlers stormed the Aqsa Mosque in July which is the highest number since the beginning of the current year.
