Palestinian resistance fighters carried out operations last night against two Israeli military checkpoints in different areas of Occupied Jerusalem while Israeli police forces raided some areas of the holy city.
According to local sources resistance fighters riding a motorcycle opened fire at the Israeli checkpoint of az-Za&rsquoim in east Jerusalem.
Resistance fighters also attacked the Israeli checkpoint of Qalandia with a homemade explosive device.
The Hebrew media confirmed the occurrence of the attacks but claimed that none of the soldiers manning the checkpoints were injured.
Consequently the Israeli occupation police closed the checkpoints of az-Za&rsquoim and Qalandia before reopening them later.
Meanwhile Israeli police officers stormed Makassed Hospital in the east Jerusalem town of at-Tur and carried out raids on homes in Silwan district last night.
A 14-year-old kid identified as Ahmed Kabha was reportedly kidnaped from his home in Silwan.
Israeli police forces also stormed Jabel Mukaber neighborhood in the southeast of Jerusalem which provoked clashes with local youths.
In a separate incident a number of extremist Jewish settlers savagely assaulted a Jerusalemite child and injured him yesterday near Bab al-Khalil area in the holy city. He was rushed to a local hospital for medical assistance.
