Member of Hamas’s political bureau Ali Baraka has warned that there will be strong reactions inside and outside Israeli jails if the Israeli prison service (IPS) carried out far-right security minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s decision to shrink the number of visits received by Palestinian prisoners.
In press remarks on Saturday Baraka affirmed that Ben Gvir’s measure against prison visits would generate a shock wave in Israeli jails especially since the prisoners would not remain silent on such a step.
&ldquoWe the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian resistance factions will not allow such an oppressive and racist Israeli move to take place&rdquo the Hamas official said.
&ldquoOur responses will be strong and capable of curbing the enemy and make it pay a high price if it targets our brave prisoners who snatched their rights with might and main throughout their protests against the Israeli prison service&rdquo he added.
