The Palestinian Captive Movement’s Emergency Committee decided to stage an open-ended hunger strike on September 14 to pressure Israeli jailers to end all the restrictive measures that were taken against them and to reinstate all their rights.
In a statement the Emergency Committee said that the prisoners in Israeli jails would make the current month September an opportunity to rally popular support for their issue.
The Committee described the Palestinian prisoner’s struggle against this occupation as an open-ended battle stressing that they are always ready for confrontation as long as the occupation still exists on their land.
Israeli far-right security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir decided on Friday to reduce family visits for Palestinian security prisoners from once a month to once every two months beginning Sunday Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported.
