Four Palestinian prisoners on Sunday continued their open-ended hunger strike in protest at the continued violations and oppressive measures practiced by the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) against them.
In a press statement on Sunday the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said that prisoner Kayed al-Fasfous and Sultan Khallouf have been on hunger strike for the 32nd day.
The Commission added that prisoner Abdul-Rahman Barraqa has been on hunger strike for the 25th day while prisoner Mahir al-Akhras has been on hunger strike for the twelfth day.
Earlier in the morning the IPS proceeded to transfer 120 Palestinian prisoners from Nafha prison to a collective isolation section the Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners&rsquo Society said in a joint statement.
The statement affirmed that transferring the prisoners comes as part of the oppressive measures taken by the IPS against the prisoners warning that the repeated assaults against prisoners would lead to escalating the situation in the Israeli prisons.
