Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk has warned that the upcoming developments regarding the Aqsa Mosque are extremely dangerous affirming that the &ldquooption of confrontation with the Israeli occupation will remain the first option to defend the Mosque.&rdquo
This came in an interview conducted with him by the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) and published on Sunday.
Abu Marzouk called on the Muslim nation to support the Aqsa Mosque and participate in the coming confrontation to defend it.
&ldquoThe responsibility to protect and defend the Aqsa Mosque falls upon all Muslims&rdquo he said.
The Hamas official stressed that the Palestinian scene is full of complexities and needs real unity at the political and field levels to overcome them.
&ldquoWe extend our hand to all factions including the Fatah Movement to rearrange the Palestinian scene on the basis of partnership and to agree on a national resistance program that preserves the privacy of each Palestinian faction and leads to the expulsion of settlers from the West Bank as a common goal&rdquo the Hamas official explained.
He called on the Palestinian Authority leadership to only listen to its people and express their position and to refrain from serving the Zio-American agenda.
He also stressed the need to confront the Israeli settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank through responding with more resistance and punishing any party supporting settlement activity.
Abu Marzouk revealed that he intends to visit Moscow next Monday to meet with Russian officials as part of his Movement’s efforts to promote its good relations with the country.
