MP Khaled Tafish has condemned the Israeli settlement project that aims at building 18000 new settlement units in Occupied Jerusalem.
In a press statement on Saturday MP Tafish stressed that such a project aims at expelling Jerusalemite citizens from their homes.
&ldquoMany Jerusalemites moved to Bethlehem and Ramallah over the past years due to the Israeli Judaization plans in addition to eviction and demolition orders issued against their houses&rdquo MP Tafish underlined.
He added that such Israeli plans come as a prelude to evicting Jerusalemites and seizing control of their city to make way for Jewish settlers.
Since the beginning of the current year the Israeli government has approved 30 settlement plans including the building of 18000 settlement units in Jerusalem.
The Israeli government has been escalating settlement expansion plans as the number of settlement units established in east Jerusalem in 2022 reached 23097 the largest number in ten years.
Last August Jewish settlers carried out more than 13 attacks against Palestinian citizens and their lands and properties in Jerusalem and the West Bank according to the Palestine data center &ldquoMu&rsquoti&rdquo.
