Dozens of Jewish settlers forced their way into the Aqsa Mosque compound in Occupied Jerusalem under heavy police protection to mark a Jewish holiday on Monday morning.
Media sources said 351 Jewish settlers broke into the Aqsa Mosque courtyard through the Maghareba Gate in the western wall of the Mosque.
During their tour the settlers wore &ldquopriest clothing&rdquo and performed Talmudic rituals.
Israeli groups earlier called on settlers to intensify their storming of the Aqsa Mosque complex to mark the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.
Meanwhile the Israeli police also restricted the entry of Palestinians since the dawn prayer.
Jewish temple groups have announced their intent to organize major settler break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque on Sunday and Monday to mark the holiday of Yom Kippur.
During these two days the settler tours of the Aqsa Mosque will include holding mass prayers a simulated animal sacrifice and other rituals according to their announcement.
Earlier on Friday the Israeli occupation army announced that it would seal off the Palestinian territories for the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.
