Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya met on Saturday with Iranian foreign minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian in Qatar’s Doha and discussed with him the developments of Operation &ldquoAl-Aqsa Flood&rdquo and the Israeli attacks on Gaza.
In the presence of senior Hamas officials and Iranian diplomats Haneyya met with the Iranian minister in his office in Doha and briefed him on the current round of fighting and the brutal Israeli attacks on Gaza.
The parties agreed to continue cooperating with each other to fully achieve the national aspirations of the Palestinian people and their resistance.
Haneyya also highlighted the motives that led to al-Qassam Brigades’ military operation against the Israeli occupation especially the latest violations in Jerusalem and at the Aqsa Mosque.
The Hamas leader also talked about the ongoing Israeli blockade on Gaza for 16 years and the Palestinian people’s right to their homeland and holy sites.
For his part Amir-Abdollahian talked about the results of his recent discussions with regional officials and international parties regarding Gaza and the Israeli war.
The Iranian ministry hailed al-Qassam Brigades for the historic victory it had made on October 7 describing it as a &ldquoglorious period in the Palestinian people’s history.&rdquo
He reiterated Iran’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people their national cause and resistance and its rejection of the barbaric Israeli aggression against Gaza that happened following the military defeat of its forces at the hands of al-Qassam fighters.
