The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said that Israel committed its largest massacre against Palestinian civilians since its founding in 1948 during hours of violent and intense airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Sunday night and after midnight on Monday after it cut off all communication and internet services.
In a report on Monday the Euro-Med Monitor estimated that Israel’s overnight attacks on Gaza which started on Monday were unprecedented since the start of its war on October 7 affirming they led to the death and injury of over 1500 civilians.
After the cutting off of telecommunication networks to the Gaza Strip and with the besieged enclave already in darkness as a result of the absence of fuel to operate generators Israel bombarded northern Gaza killing and injuring more than 1500 people and destroying hundreds of housing units.
Hundreds more people are expected to be either dead or trapped beneath the rubble of their homes during that night Euro-Med explained.
According to its report residents of al-Shati camp and other areas in and around Gaza City said the bombing was continuous with corpses and dismembered bodies all over the streets.
Ambulance and civil defense crews were unable to respond to people’s need for help as there were no phone systems operating.
The Israeli occupation army announced that it had targeted more than 450 sites overnight on Sunday and Monday amid its incitement and threats against hospitals.
Euro-Med Monitor said that Israel’s raids targeted in an unprecedented and violent manner the vicinity of a large number of hospitals in Gaza City including Al-Shifa Medical Complex the Indonesian Hospital the Eye Hospital Al-Quds Hospital and the only psychiatric hospital in the Strip.
