A group of settlers under police protection violently attacked the Armenian neighborhood in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday evening
According to media sources the settler groups attempted to steal residences and a parking lot located in front of the neighborhood’s main church entrance.
The Israeli occupation authorities have been planning to take control of the neighborhood’s 11500 square meters which include houses the Armenian Museum the “Theology” school and a parking lot.
Twenty-five percent of the neighborhood is among the threatened lands. The locals have been protesting the occupation’s plans for days.
The neighborhood is one of the oldest in the town and covers an area of roughly 300 dunums which is one-sixth of the Old City’s total area.
