Dozens of cities in various countries are preparing to take part on Saturday in the largest global protests condemning the ongoing Israeli war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The organizers of the events have confirmed that these protests are the largest coordinated international demonstrations against the Israeli aggression in Gaza. The protests will take place in 120 cities across 45 countries on 6 continents. This comes in parallel with the ongoing trial of Israel before the International Court of Justice in The Hague on charges of genocide against Palestinians.
Several organizations and bodies from different countries around the world have called for these major events, including the “Campaign of Solidarity with Palestine,” the “Palestinian Forum in Britain,” the “Stop the War Coalition,” the “Nuclear Disarmament Campaign,” “Friends of Al-Aqsa,” and the “Islamic League in Britain.”
Kate Hudson, the General Secretary of the Stop the War Coalition, stated that these massive events are not only a powerful message to Israelis, but also to Western powers that support them, indicating that this war does not represent public opinion worldwide. She called on the free people of the world everywhere to join millions of protesters around the world in demanding an end to the war waged by Israel against the Palestinians.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Forum in Britain issued a statement describing the demonstrations as a “significant global shift against the occupation, alongside the ongoing trial of the occupation before the International Court of Justice on charges of genocide in the Gaza Strip.”
