The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched overnight and early Tuesday a massive raid and arrest campaign throughout the West Bank. At least 28 citizens were detained during the raid.
In Jenin, the IOF arrested five Palestinians after violently breaking into their family houses in Ya`bad town.
Similar raids were also reported in Arraba, Faqoua and Jalboun towns. An ex-prisoner was detained in the Jalboun raid.
Two more arrests were carried out in Qalqilia, while 16 Palestinians were rounded up in Ithna and Dura towns in al-Khalil.
In Nablus, a Palestinian was injured by shrapnel of an Israeli live bullet in the Askar camp, while another was brutally attacked and beaten in Jabal Gerizim Street. An ex-prisoner was also detained at a military checkpoint in the city.
In Ramallah, the IOF troops stormed the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood and took the measurements of the house of Dr. Aysar Barghouthi as a prelude to its demolition.
Barghouti was detained on January 7 for being allegedly involved in a shooting operation, north of Ramallah.
Meanwhile, dozens of Jewish settlers attacked and damaged Palestinian vehicles in Sinjil town, north of Ramallah.
The IOF also carried out violent raids throughout Jericho, while clashes erupted in Tulkarem and Bethlehem.
