Dozens of Jewish settlers forced their way into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday, under the protection of Israeli police, and performed provocative rituals, while Muslims were denied access to the holy site.
About 59 settlers stormed the site from Al-Maghariba Gate, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals.
Israeli police persist in denying Muslims access to Al-Aqsa Mosque and preventing them from performing prayers inside the holy site except under very tight measures, which has affected the numbers of worshipers which have been significantly declining since October 7.
On Tuesday, around 166 settlers escorted by police officers desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque. One of the settlers drank grape juice inside the mosque to provoke Muslim worshipers and make them believe it was wine.
The wife of the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, defiled Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday, Tuesday, under heavy police protection. She published a picture of herself in front of the Dome of the Rock and wrote, “Arab media rumored that I was killed in the attack on Adora, but I am alive. Here is a picture as a proof.”
Calls were renewed from Hamas Movement as well as Palestinians from Occupied Jerusalem and 1948 Occupied Palestine for mobilization, stressing the necessity of regularly conducting convoys to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque to break the siege that has been imposed on it for weeks.
