A number of Lebanese southern border towns came under Israeli air strikes and artillery shelling at dawn Sunday, according to the national Lebanese news agency.
It said that an Israeli drone targeted a building in Tayerharfa village destroying a food store in the building and inflicting heavy material losses on the building and nearby houses.
The agency noted that the western outskirts of the same town came under intermittent Israeli artillery shelling since the early morning hours.
Israeli warplanes targeted five other villages while artillery shells slammed into two others, the agency said, noting that Israeli artillery shelling targeted five towns and two mountain tops in the western area of south Lebanon on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Israeli reconnaissance planes flew over the central and western area of south Lebanon in addition to border villages on Sunday morning.
