Two Palestinians were injured on Monday evening in a settler attack on Asira al-Qibliya town, south of Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society affirmed that two Palestinians suffered from gunshot injuries during the attack, including a 16-year-old teen.

The head of the Asira al-Qibliya village council, Hafez Saleh, reported that a group of settlers from the “Yitzhar” illegal settlement attacked the eastern outskirts of the town and burned a vehicle belonging to a local resident.

The settlers also set fire to two houses in the southern region of the town, he added.

Calls to confront the settler attacks were launched over mosque speakers. However, Israeli forces stormed the town to provide protection for the settlers.

Asira al-Qibliya town is subjected to repeated attacks by settlers from “Yitzhar” settlement illegally built on Nablus towns and villages.
