The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) has accused the Israeli occupation army of persisting in committing “the crime of enforced disappearance” against Palestinian citizens kidnaped from the Gaza Strip.

“To date, the occupation refuses to disclose any clear information about the fate of Gaza detainees, although international human rights organizations repeatedly called for stopping this crime,” PPS said in a statement on Saturday.

“After 134 days of aggression and ongoing genocide in Gaza, there are growing fears about more horrific crimes being committed against detainees,” PPS said.

PPS added that there are more testimonies coming out about the occurrence of unprecedented Israeli torture practices against Gaza detainees, including women, children, elderlies, paramedics, doctors and workers.

PPS also pointed to testimonies confirming the exposure of detainees to executions by Israeli soldiers during military incursions in Gaza.

PPS reiterated its appeal to international human rights groups to urgently and immediately intervene to stop the crime of enforced disappearance that are committed by Israeli forces against Gazans.
