The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has warned of the Israeli occupation’s plan to deliberately kill Palestinian prisoners in its jails, calling on human rights organizations to take responsibility for the violations they are subjected to.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Movement said, “In light of official figures confirming the martyrdom of a Palestinian detainee from the Gaza Strip in the prisons of the criminal Zionist enemy under torture and deliberate medical neglect, bringing the number of martyrs inside the occupation’s prisons to ten since the start of the aggression and the Zionist genocide war against our people on October 7th, we warn of a clear fascist Zionist plan through which the deliberate killing of Palestinian detainees is carried out through the policy of medical neglect, torture, and starvation.”

The Palestinian Prisoners Society announced this morning the martyrdom of a prisoner from the Gaza Strip in the Israeli Ramla prison, without revealing the identity of the martyr, indicating that he was arrested after the war launched by Israel on Gaza on October 7th, without details about his identity or the date of his arrest.

Hamas called on the International Committee of the Red Cross and all international human rights institutions to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities regarding the horrific and serious violations suffered by our male and female prisoners, in order to document them and submit them to international judicial authorities, and to exert pressure on the Nazi entity to stop these policies that are void of all human and moral values.

Official and popular Palestinian sources confirm that Israel practices isolation, starvation, and medical neglect against Palestinian prisoners in its jails, as part of unprecedented retaliatory and oppressive measures since October 7th.

With the start of the destructive war on the Gaza Strip, Israel escalated its operations in the West Bank, leaving hundreds dead and thousands injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, in addition to about 7,120 detainees according to human rights groups.
