US senator Bernie Sanders has accused the US administration of being complicit in what is happening in the Gaza Strip.
In social media remarks on Friday, Sanders said that “giving $10 billion to the Netanyahu government is a mistake.”
“Biden’s efforts in Gaza are still inadequate. It is one of the largest humanitarian crises in history,” the US senator said.
Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7.
According to Gaza’s health ministry, 30,878 Palestinians have been killed, and 72,402 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7. Most of the victims are children and women.
Moreover, at least 7,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly 2,000,000 people from all over Gaza, with the vast majority of the displaced civilians forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
