Palestinian prisoner Jum’ah Abu Ghanima, a 26-year-old from the Negev, was pronounced dead on Saturday a few days after Israeli jailers transferred him in critical condition from Eshel jail to an Israeli hospital.
According to the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society, prisoner Abu Ghanima died five days after his transfer to an Israeli hospital.
Abu Ghanima is considered the fifth prisoner to have died in Israeli jails since the beginning of the current year and the 11th since last October.
