A high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement led by head of its political bureau Ismail Haneyya arrived on Tuesday in the Iranian capital, Tehran, to meet with senior officials.
According to media sources from the Movement, the delegation intends to hold meetings with Iranian leaders and discuss with them the political and field developments related to the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.
Since a cross-border operation was launched by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7, the Gaza Strip has been under relentless Israeli bombardment and attack.
As Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza rages on, the situation in the war-torn coastal enclave is one of devastation and despair. More than 32,000 people have been killed by the Israeli occupation army and thousands are reported missing or still under the rubble of buildings, according to Gaza health officials.
Neighborhoods across Gaza have been flattened, hundreds of families wiped out, children orphaned, and an estimated 1.7 million people displaced, amid an Israeli starvation campaign threatening the lives of thousands.
