Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, has reiterated the need to impose an arms embargo and sanctions against Israel over its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
In a video message on Wednesday, Albanese accused anew Israel of committing genocide and making life conditions unlivable in Gaza, adding that the incalculable collective trauma in Gaza will be experienced for generations to come.
The UN expert called for necessarily taking concrete steps against Israel and immediately imposing an arms embargo on Israel, as well as other economic and political measures and sanctions necessary to ensure an immediate and lasting ceasefire.
