The Palestinian health ministry has accused the Israeli occupation army of deliberately destroying the health sector in Gaza City and northern Gaza, stressing that the Israeli destruction of the Shifa Hospital dealt a severe blow to the health system in the Gaza Strip.
Spokesman for the health ministry Ashraf al-Qudra said that Israeli forces committed brutal massacres and carried out on-site executions against medical cadres and patients at the Shifa Hospital and other hospitals in northern Gaza.
Qudra also said that the health sector in Gaza lost specialized medical personnel who formed the backbone of medical services.
He added that over 730,000 people in Gaza City and northern Gaza live without real health services, calling for making efforts to provide field hospitals and international multi-specialized medical teams for Gaza City and northern Gaza.
