Senior Hamas official, Sami Abu Zuhri, said in a statement issued on Sunday evening that Israel’s response, which reached the Movement through mediators, is under study, and that it is too early to reach a decision on it.
The Hamas Movement will not accept any agreement with Israel that does not include stopping the war in the Gaza Strip, he added.
He further pointed out that “the Movement told the brothers in Egypt and Qatar that it is serious about reaching an agreement, but that it will not yield to any US pressure.”
The Movement earlier announced that it received Israel’s official response to the Movement’s position on the negotiations, which was delivered to the Qatari and Egyptian mediators on April 13.
