The Hamas Movement has said that the Israeli occupation army’s escalation of its brutal targeting of defenseless civilians in the streets, homes and residential neighborhoods in various areas of the Gaza Strip is a fascist retaliatory behavior.
“The Israeli massacres being committed in Gaza City and the North Governorate reflect a great extent of confusion experienced by the Israeli occupation army due to the steadfastness of our people,” the Movement added in a statement on Wednesday.
Hamas pointed out that Israel resorts to escalating its massacres against civilians because of “the painful strikes it receives at the hands of the Palestinian resistance, led by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.”
The Movement called on the international community, the United Nations, and its relevant institutions to take urgent steps to oblige the Israeli occupation government to stop its heinous crimes against the Palestinian people.
Hamas charged the US administration and its president, Joe Biden, with the responsibility for this dangerous escalation, demanding an end to the criminal policies and unlimited support for the genocidal war that has been ongoing for more than 7 months against defenseless civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.
Hamas urged the masses of the Arab and Muslim nation as well as the free people of the world everywhere, to escalate the popular movement in support of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, and to push for an urgent and permanent ceasefire.
