The member of Hamas political bureau, Ezzat Al-Resheq, denied recent allegations that Hamas is planning to leave Qatar to Iraq.
Al-Resheq said in a brief statement, “There is no truth to what was reported by Sky News Arabia, citing The National newspaper, that Hamas is planning to leave Qatar and relocate to Iraq.”
Al-Resheq’s statement came after a report was published by The National newspaper about allegations that Hamas leaders intend to leave Doha and settle in Baghdad under the protection of Iran.
Qatar has previously denied claims that pressure was being exerted on Hamas to push for a partial deal that does not put an end to the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
Hebrew media has been inciting against Qatar, asking it to pressure Hamas, but Doha confirmed its rejection of the incitement and repeatedly condemned Israel’s refusal to halt its war of genocide in Gaza.
