Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haneyya has issued a statement following the recent Israeli killing of his sister, saying that such attacks will not change the resistance’s positions towards the ceasefire talks.

Haneyya’s sister was among 13 people killed in an Israeli attack on Shati refugee camp early Tuesday.

“If the criminal enemy thinks targeting my family will change our position or that of the resistance, they are delusional,” he added.

He further stressed that any ceasefire proposal that does not guarantee an end to Israel’s offensive in Gaza is “not an agreement”.

“The Movement provided all possible flexibility, and agreed without hesitation to all the projects that were proposed, provided that the result would be a cessation of crimes, an end to the aggression, and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip,” Haneyya underlined.

Last April, three of Haneyya’s sons (Hazem, Amir, and Muhammad) and three of his grandchildren were martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a civilian car at the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City, north of the Strip.
