The Hamas Movement condemned the massive Israeli attack on ash-Shuja’iya neighborhood in Gaza City on Thursday morning, calling on the international community to urgently intervene to curb Israel’s war crimes in the Gaza Strip, especially in ash-Shuja’iya.
In a statement, Hamas said that the intense bombardment of ash-Shuja’iya neighborhood that killed and injured many civilians and displaced thousands reflected Israeli persistence in carrying out its war of extermination against the Gaza people with full support from the US administration.
Hamas described the Israeli army’s repeated targeting of cities, refugee camps and neighborhoods in Gaza, its deliberate killing of civilians and its destruction of infrastructure as “aimed at deepening the suffering of the population” and “full-fledged war crimes.”
Hamas affirmed that Israel’s war crimes in Gaza happen in full view of the entire world, calling for urgent international action to stop them and hold Israeli leaders accountable for them.
