Far-right Israeli security minister Itamar Ben Gvir has called for the execution of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
In a video statement, Ben-Gvir said that Israel should kill Palestinian prisoners with a “shot to the head.”
He urged the passing of the bill at the Israeli Knesset calling for executing prisoners, saying they should be given just enough food to keep them alive until the law is enacted.
The Israeli Knesset approved in early March 2023 the preliminary reading of a bill calling for imposing the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners.
