The Hamas Movement said that the Israeli approval of constructing 5,300 new settlement units in the illegal West Bank outposts indicates a clear disregard, by the extremist Israeli government, for all international laws and resolutions that criminalize settlement activity in the occupied lands.
Hamas added in a press statement on Thursday that “these decisions affirm the fact that the Israeli extremist government insists on seizing more Palestinian land, while unleashing criminal settlers, to continue their aggression against the Palestinian people in the cities and towns of the West Bank under complete protection the Israeli occupation army.”
The statement stressed that “these fascist decisions will only increase our steadfast people and its valiant resistance’s adherence to the escalation of resistance and engagement in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in all axes, until the cessation of the Israeli aggression on our land and sanctities.”
Hamas called on the United Nations and the international community to “take effective measures to stop the brutal war against our people in Gaza and the West Bank, and its frantic attempts to change the facts on the ground, and to hold it accountable for the ongoing war crimes it carries out before the eyes of the entire world.”
