Senior Hamas official Husam Badran has said that his Movement has received an invitation from China to participate in a comprehensive national meeting to be held soon in Beijing and attended by different Palestinian factions, including the Fatah Movement.
In press remarks on Tuesday, Badran added that the meeting is slated to take place on July 21 and 22.
“The Movement has dealt positively and responsibly with this invitation out of its keenness on achieving national unity worthy of our Palestinian people and commensurate with their sacrifices and heroism, especially in light of Al-Aqsa Flood battle,” Badran said.
The Hamas official pointed out taht there are no previous arrangements for bilateral meetings on the sidelines of this national meeting in China.
Regarding what could be tabled during the meeting, Badran said that there is a possibility to build on the outcome of the previous national meeting that was held in Beijing last April.
