The Hamas Movement has categorically denied links to any video clip threatening attacks on Israeli athletes during the upcoming Paris Olympics, calling it a fabricated video circulated by Israeli security apparatuses for the purpose of defamation.
In a statement on Tuesday, senior Hamas official Ezzat al-Resheq said that social media accounts belonging to Israeli security services circulated a fake video showing an alleged Palestinian resistance fighter threatening attacks in Paris over Israel’s participation in the upcoming international sports event.
“This fabricated video is part of Israeli propaganda aimed at inciting against the Palestinian resistance,” Resheq stressed.
The Hamas official affirmed that “such attempts are intended to defame the resistance and influence international public opinion against it.”
However, he emphasized the importance of boycotting Israel in the international arena in response to the massacres and genocide happening in the Gaza Strip.
