The Hamas Movement announced to the Palestinian people and Islamic and Arab nation the martyrdom of its “leader and national figure, the father of martyrs: Ismail Haneyya (Abu Abdul Salam), who was martyred in a Zionist assassination crime on Wednesday morning.”
Hamas stressed in an official statement that “the Israeli occupation’s crime of assassinating the head of the Movement, brother, leader, and martyr Ismail Haneyya on Iranian territory, is a full-fledged terrorist act, a violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a dangerous escalation, and an expansion of its aggression and criminality against our people and the nation.”
“The Zionist enemy and its supporters bear responsibility for this crime and its dangerous repercussions on the region and the area. They will not succeed in preventing the roar of the Al-Aqsa flood from shaking the foundations of this usurping entity and destroying it, God willing,” the statement added.
Hamas mourned Haneyya and extended its condolences to his family and all the Palestinians and the Islamic and Arab nation for the grave loss and vowed to continue resistance until the liberation of all occupied Palestinian territories.
The Movement called on all Palestinians and the free people of the world to take to the streets and squares to express their outrage over the assassination crime that has crossed all limits, urging them to mobilize in condemnation of the crime and in support of the steadfast Palestinian people and its heroic resistance in the battle of liberation and establishing the state of Palestine.
