The United Nations Human Rights Rapporteur on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, criticized the US funding of the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Commenting on the Al-Tab’een School massacre in which more than 100 people were martyred on Saturday, Albanese said on Monday, “the US funding of Israeli Genocide is ballooning as the Israeli army uses ever more lethal bombs.”
“The ones used in the Al-Tab’een School massacre sliced bodies to the point of making them unrecognizable. They are now identified by weight: 70kg bag = 1 adult. Revolting”, she added on X.
The Government Media Office (GMO) in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that more than 100 people were killed and dozens were wounded in an Israeli airstrike that targeted them while performing the Fajr prayer at the school, which was housing displaced people who resorted to it after it had been announced a safe zone by the Israeli occupation army.
Since October 7 last year, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, with US and European support, killing 39,897 people, wounding more than 92,152 others, and displacing 90% of the residents of the Strip, according to UN data.
