The Islamic resistance party in Lebanon, Hezbollah, has announced the martyrdom of its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli huge attack on Haret Hreik in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The party said in a statement on Saturday afternoon, “His Eminence, the Sayyed, the leader of resistance, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has moved to the side of his Lord and His mercy as a great martyr, a heroic, brave, wise, insightful, and faithful believer, … in the divine journey to faith in the footsteps of the prophets and martyred imams.”
The statement added that Hassan Nasrallah “joined his great immortal martyred comrades, whose path he led for about 30 years, leading them from victory to victory, succeeding the Master of the Martyrs of the Islamic Resistance in 1992 until the liberation of Lebanon in 2000 and to the glorious divine victory in 2006 and all the battles of honor and sacrifice, until the current battle of support and heroism in support of Palestine, Gaza and the oppressed Palestinian people.”
The statement offered condolences to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the nation of resistance, the steadfast Lebanese people, the entire Islamic nation, all the free and oppressed people in the world, and Nasrallah’s honorable family, noting that he “achieved his most precious wishes and the highest ranks of faith and pure belief, as a martyr on the path of Jerusalem and Palestine.”
The party leadership pledged to “the most sublime, most sacred and most precious martyr in our journey that is full of sacrifices and martyrs, to continue its jihad in confronting the Zionist enemy in support of Gaza and Palestine and in defense of Lebanon and its steadfast and honorable people.”
The Israeli occupation army announced, on Saturday, the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah in the raids that targeted Friday evening “the headquarters of the party’s central command in the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.”
Earlier on Saturday, the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stressed that Israel’s practice of the same “foolish” policy of extermination in Lebanon after Gaza “will not affect the solid structure of the resistance.”
In a press statement on Saturday, Khamenei said, “regarding the recent events in Lebanon, the Israeli occupation’s commission of massacres against the defenseless in Lebanon revealed to everyone the brutal nature of the Zionist enemy and proved on the other hand the short-sightedness of the Israeli leaders and their foolish policy.”
Khamenei stressed that the resistance forces in the region are the ones who will determine its fate, noting that all the resistance forces in the region support and stand by Hezbollah, and will determine the fate of this region under the leadership of Hezbollah.
