A Palestinian young man was martyred, and others were injured in confrontations and clashes with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said on Thursday its crews have transferred to hospital a martyr and five injured people, including a woman, since the IOF began its storming of the camp.
The PRCS explained that they transferred the body of the 22-year-old Harith Awfi, from inside the camp to Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in the city.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the martyr Awfi was injured while he was in one of the camp’s courtyards by an IOF sniper stationed in one of the houses, hitting him in the heart.
He was carried outside the camp by ambulance volunteers and handed over to a PRCS’ ambulance, because the IOF prevented it from entering the camp, they added.
On Thursday morning, an Israeli drone bombed sites in the camp twice, resulting in five shrapnel injuries, two of whom were a woman and her disabled son.
