Palestinian journalist Mohamed al-Talmas was pronounced dead on Tuesday morning after he succumbed to serious injuries he sustained in an Israeli attack yesterday in the Gaza Strip.
Talmas, 40, was seriously injured on Monday in an Israeli strike on a group of citizens during their presence near ash-Shurouq venue in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City.
The journalist had worked for SAFA news agency since 2009.
For its part, the Government Media Office mourned journalist Talmas, and called on International Federation of Journalists and the Federation of Arab Journalists and other journalistic unions around the world to condemn Israel’s systematic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media professionals in Gaza.
Talmas’s martyrdom brought to 204 the number of the journalists that have been killed since October 7, 2023.
