At least 11 Palestinians were injured on Sunday one of them seriously by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on the third day of the Great March of Return in Gaza.
Spokesman for Gaza’s Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Qedra said in a brief statement that 11 Palestinians were injured after being directly targeted by the IOF gunfire while taking part in the Great March of Return near the Gaza border.
Al-Qedra added that one of the injured was seriously wounded in the head.
The PIC reporters in the Gaza Strip said that hundreds of Palestinian civilians rallied along Gaza’s eastern border on Sunday to participate in the activities of the Great March of Return despite Israeli threats.
About 17 Palestinians were killed and over 1400 injured on the first day of the Great March of Return on Friday.
The coordination committee of the Great March of Return in February announced its intention to launch major popular demonstrations in the Palestinian territories in demand of the Palestinian refugees’ right of return stipulated in international resolutions especially Resolution 194.
