An Israeli court has decided to conditionally release 14 Jerusalemite citizens who were arrested on Wednesday night at the Aqsa Mosque and to extend the detention of two young men until next Friday.
Some of those 14 detainees were released on condition that they would not be allowed to enter the Old City of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque for 60 days and others who live in the Old City would only be banned from entering the Mosque for the same period.
Those citizens also have to pay financial penalties amounting to 1500 shekels each next Friday.
According to the Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs the Israeli security authorities plan to ban most of those citizens who were released yesterday from entering the Aqsa Mosque or the Old City of Jerusalem for six months.
