15-year-old injured girl in Israel jail deprived of family visit

Thursday 12-January-2017

The Israeli occupation authorities have deprived a 15-year-old Palestinian girl of her right to be visited by her parents in an Israeli jail.

The father of the jailed Palestinian minor Natali Shouka said the IOA allowed him to visit his daughter detained since April 28 2016 only once in jail and during court trials under the security pretext.

In December 2016 an Israeli occupation court sentenced the Palestinian child Shoukha a native of Ramallah’s town of Ramon to actual imprisonment for one year and a half.

The child was shot and injured by the Israeli occupation army right before her arrest.

Dozens of other Palestinian families have been prevented by the IOA from visiting their sons and daughters in Israeli lock-ups.

The situation has gone far worse due to a Red Cross decision restricting the number of authorized visits down to once a month only.
