About 250 Palestinians are languishing in Ramon jail which was built in early 2006 near Nafha prison in the Negev desert.

Over 7000 Palestinians are locked up in Israeli jails under difficult detention conditions including 300 Gazans. Statistics say that 214 prisoners have died in Israeli jails due to medical negligence.
