Violent clashes erupted on Thursday between Palestinian youths and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in two different locations in Nablus governorate. As a result 17 Palestinians were injured.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the clashes took place in the eastern outskirts of Bourin town south of Nablus city and at the entrance to al-Naqoura town in the north.
IOF soldiers showered Palestinian protesters with gunfire and tear gas grenades leading to the injury of 17 youths who choked on IOF-fired tear gas.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that the clashes broke out after demonstrations were held close to Shafi Shamron and Bracha settlements near Nablus. The demonstrations were staged in protest at the US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move the US embassy to the sacred city.
