Two Palestinian detainees declared an open-ended hunger strike in Israeli jails in solidarity with female prisoners who have been mistreated in the Israeli HaSharon lock-up.
Kifah Hattab and Khalil Abu Arram started their open-ended hunger strikes in Hadarim prison in support for Palestinian women and girls who have been refusing to go out to the prison yard for the 48th consecutive day to protest the installment of surveillance cameras by the Israeli prison authorities.
Prisoner Hattab from Tulkarem has been held since 2004 in the Israeli occupation jails serving two life sentences.
Prisoner Abu Arram from al-Khalil was sentenced to seven life terms. He has been jailed since 2002.
